Sanus Psychology Practice

We provide tailored psychological services in English and Turkish for internationals living in The Netherlands

Culturally Aware

Being an expat myself, I have a deep understanding of the circumstances which may create (extra) distress for you as an international.

Effective

I combine and tailor the use of evidence based therapy methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR and Schema Therapy.

No Referral Needed

A referral letter from a GP (huisarts) is not needed. Contact your insurance company beforehand to see if there is possibility of reimbursement.

Some Common Complaints

Living abroad can be difficult. We are usually far away from our support circle and trying to adapt into a culture that is new to us.
Burnout

Expats are generally at a higher risk of suffering from burnout. Burnout is exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged emotional, physical, and mental stress, usually work related.

Anxiety

Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal feeling of fear or apprehension about what’s to come. But if your feelings of anxiety are intense and interfering with your life, it might be time to take action.

Depression

Depression

Depression may be described as feelings of sadness, loss, or anger that interfere with your everyday activities. It can be more than a constant state of sadness or feeling “blue.”
